Sometimes, you just have to stop everything and play play-doh with your baby. :)
This pretend neapolitan ice cream reminded me of the ice cream shop that we used to frequent in Guatemala. I remember it being such a treat to get to walk to the ice cream shop when I was younger. The older I got, it became more of a normal occurrence. :) The ice cream was so good, and I loved to get their milkshakes, but they would poke the ice cream down in the blender with a plastic straw, and then there would be bits of plastic all in your milkshake. So we started ordering a milkshake WITHOUT a straw. HA! They looked at us like we were crazy, but it seemed to work. Mom and I still laugh about our plastic milkshakes. :)
Austin's ballet school has the best little recitals. It has grown so much that they had to open up a second recital performance this year for Friday night. Apparently some of the parents weren't even able to buy tickets before they sold out, so a second one was necessary. I knew that Austin would be ALL about that. She lives for the recital performance. The bad thing was that Ben couldn't be there, so it was just the 2 of us. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, and I didn't get her flowers or anything, but I guess I should have. :( She was a little disappointed that all of her friends got flowers and she didn't. But I reminded her that her day was Saturday, and she would have family there to see her dance and get flowers then.
She was a happier camper on Saturday, but she didn't want to stop to take photos. :)
Ben and I left right away for a wedding reception for one of our sweet babysitters, Mary Todd! We just love her, and are so happy for them!!
