my favorite things... april edition.

welcome to the april edition of my favorite things! :)

100 calorie packs of milk chocolate covered pretzels
there are a few brands of these babies on the shelf, and they are all good!  i didn't know that these things existed until a few weeks ago, and i am addicted!

i have this app on my blackberry, but it's also available for android, and the iphone.  it is the best invention since sliced bread.  it's a grocery list app.  when i think of something we need, no matter where i am, i have my list handy.  as i shop, i can cross items off 1 by 1.  the best part is that ben and i both have it on our phones, and our lists automatically sync!!  so if i send him to the grocery store, he knows what to get without me making him out a list and everything.  pretty cool, eh?

i just started using a new hairdresser since we are moving, and she uses all rusk products.  i have never really been a fan of rusk before, but i actually have never really tried it.  after my wonderful experience in her salon, i went and bought a liter of this stuff!  it smells so good, and it (along with my new haircut) actually gives the hair in my crown some lift.  i get this at cost, since i am a hairdresser, but even the retail price is really good for a salon quality shampoo!

100% multi-grain bread
i overheard one of my friends saying that she always buys whole grain bread, so i decided to give it a try.  i had been thinking that should at least switch over to the wheat side, so why not just go all the way?  well, surprise, surprise... i actually like it!  i love the things on top (whatever they are!), and the brand that i buy (sara lee) is slightly sweet, in my expert opinion.  now i don't feel bad giving austin a piece of peanut butter toast.

i am amazed at how many people don't know about etsy.  usually, if austin is wearing something monogrammed, it came from etsy, and when people ask me about it, i have to explain what etsy is.  it's an online marketplace for all things handmade... jewelry, clothes, hats, bags, stationary, pillows, bedding, etc.  just go to the main page, and type in what you want to search for.  for example, i would type in "monogrammed pillowcase dress" or "personalized pillowcase dress," and go through the results.  after you've been on there awhile, you start to have favorite sellers.  i know it all sounds confusing and overwhelming, but once you get started, it's soooo easy.  and let me tell you, if you're not shopping on etsy, you're missing out!!!!!  :)

Do you guys usually eat white bread then? I grew up eating whole wheat bread and so did my husband so I only ever even buy white at Thanksgiving to make stuffing. I even consider multi-grain bread to be white bread! It's so weird I know, but I like the super high in fiber whole wheat stuff. I even buy wheat tortillas!
