go to sleep, already!

peanut has had the most horrible sleeping habits lately.  first of all, she fights me when i try to rock her like we normally do.  every time.  during the day, i end up just putting her in her crib, and yes, she cries it out.  actually, it doesn't really involve a lot of crying.  it does involve a lot of kicking and screaming.  she calms down after a few minutes, and either plays with her doll, or goes to sleep.

ben, amazingly enough, has been able to control her better at nap times and at bed time.  i say amazingly enough, because before, she wanted nothing to do with daddy at bed time.  but now, she will just relax with him and go to sleep.  he thinks that this is the coolest thing since sliced bread.  :)  so does mommy.  :)  he comes home for lunch every day, so the other day he got her to sleep for me.

i don't know what we're gonna do with her!  another thing, during the night, she has always gotten up around 3 or 4 to nurse, and when she's done (or during), she does back to sleep.  i will then lay her back down in her crib for the rest of the night.  the last few nights, after i've laid her back down, she wakes up immediately crying and screaming.  i hope this little phase is over with SOON!!  maybe we're getting another tooth?  :(

and just a little more evidence that she looooooves pulling down all of the books from the shelf...

Hi Ashia

My name is Jaclyn. I went to CAG with you but I'm pretty certain you wouldn't remember me. I was a two years behind you...I think. I have actually been reading your blog for several months. I have a seven month old and love reading about your antics with little Austin. I decided to comment because I too am doing the cry it out method with my daughter and know exactly what you are going through! It's tough, but she'll get the hang of it eventually.
