six months

  • you weigh 14 lbs. 2 oz.
  • you are around 25.5 inches long.
  • you are in size 3-6 month clothes, and a few 6 months.
  • you can still wear a few pairs of your newborn size shoes, and some 0-3's. you're size 1's are hard to keep on because it seems like every time you kick, they come off.
  • you are in size 2 diaper.
  • you play with my hair to go to sleep a lot of days.
  • you are starting to do better going to sleep on your own than being rocked to sleep. it's great for you, but bittersweet for me!
  •  you had your first baby food (applesauce) mixed with cereal on Feb. 27th. you liked it, but weren't just completely thrilled.
  • you had to visit your pediatrician again as a sick baby.  =(  we just changed your medicine, and you are doing much better!  no more runny nose and cough!
  • you started making blowing/spitting noises with your tongue. it's pretty funny!
  • you stayed in a hotel room for the first time, and you did great!
  • you still bite on everything like your gums bother you (we need to buy stock in the orajel company!), but i still don't feel a tooth!
  • your sleeping habits have been terrible lately. maybe it's because of your teething.
  • you breastfeed every 3 hours during the day (and during the night too, on the bad nights!).
  • you get cereal morning and night, fruit morning and for an afternoon snack, and a vegetable for lunch and dinner. so far you've had rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, bananas, squash, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, and carrots.
  • you are a VERY messy eater!  you usually have food all over your face, on your clothes, and on the highchair.
  • you are really starting to reach for things... toys, me to pick you up, sydney, food, etc.
  • you will play by yourself for long periods of time while i do other things.  you start screaming when you want attention.
  • you love to go on walks outside if the weather is nice.
  • you are doing MUCH better riding in your car seat!
  • you are SO much fun for me to dress up! thank goodness you will leave your bows on!
you've shown me what love is.
