baby weight

exercise...

that word is normally not in my vocabulary.  that word hardly ever rolls off of my tongue.  that word never really crosses my mind.

i have never been motivated to work out, or athletic by any stretch of the imagination!  (unless you want to count ballet, which was ages ago.)  i've never had a weight problem, or needed to watch what i ate.  yea, it was just like it sounds... wonderful.

when i found out that i was pregnant, everyone's advice was to exercise.  and my doctor talked to me a little about exercising, but i was told not to do anything that i already didn't do.  (so i guess what she was telling me was to go ahead and lay on the couch and eat whatever i wanted to!)  i went and did like normal.  the most walking you will ever get out of me is at the shopping mall, and if you want me to run... well, let's just say that i would have to be running to get a front row seat at a concert, to get something dirt cheap on black friday, or if someone is chasing me to kill me.

my goal after i had austin was to start exercising january 1st.  i knew that from thanksgiving until christmas, it was a waste of my breath to try to tell myself that i would even put in the wii fit disc.  must less get on the board and actually do a few moves.  well, the "breastfeeding makes you loose your baby weight" thing didn't go exactly as i had pictured it in my mind.  everyone said, "you look great!"  and did i believe them?  nope.  maybe i looked great, but i sure didn't feel it.

we bumped exercising up to october 15th.  did that happen?  of. course. not.

so we are back to the january 1st plan.  just as well.  i can make cookies, fudge, covered pretzels, candies, breads, sweet potatoes with so much sugar and butter that i can swim in it... you know, the good stuff.  and it makes me happy just to think about it.

the last 10 or 15 lbs will just have to stay around for a little while, and i'll try not to think about it.  but starting in january, i will try to post how i'm doing with my exercising to keep me accountable.  anyone want to join?  do you have a weight loss goal??

About 15 ladies and I are doing Weight Watchers at Work. We are doing great and are losing weight. I have lost 11.5 lbs and have not excercised a day. It just makes you think about what you eat and the portion size. Good luck but you look great!

me me me!! I want to join you! It is hard to lose that baby weight. If it makes you feel any better, I didn't get back down to my normal size until after I quit nursing Lainey. I am hoping that will be the case this time too.

Carrie Franks and I are starting Weight Watchers the first week of January. I can't wait. I did it the year before I got pregnant it will be just as easy this time.
