baby on the way!!

well, i said before that i had a lot going on... oh the joys of living in a small town... word is out!! =) i found out i was pregnant on feb. 10th. we heard our little peanut's heartbeat on feb. 26th, and it was the best sound i've heard in my life, so far! can't wait for my next appointment! due october 15th. you can't really see anything on the first sonogram except the heartbeat, but here it is...

sick, yes! tired, yes! emotional, yes! hungry, yes! i can handle the hungry all the time, it's the sickness that's getting to me. any suggestions? several people have told me to eat ginger snaps... i gotta find some of those soon! i saw today that motherhood maternity store has little candies and suckers that supposedly help. i will be making an order soon!

something else that i had going on was that i was going on a mission trip to CHINA this summer! i was going on be gone june 16th - 27th to fushun, china, to an orphanage. basically just to play and love on children. when i found out i was pregnant, i was sick to my stomach everytime i thought about going to china. everyone knows that i REALLY wanted to go, i just felt like i shouldn't. so, i ended up backing out. i was going with an organization called visiting orphans, which is a branch off of the adoption agency we want to use, america world adoption. and for anyone that wants to know or has asked me, YES we are still planning on adopting from china!

Congratulations! I am so excited for y'all!!! You will both be wonderful parents. I was due with Maggie on Oct. 14th (also my birthday!) and had a great pregnancy. The sickness and tiredness will pass and trust me it is totally worth everything you have to go through to get them here. Good luck - keep us posted. Also, I am going to have to get you to teach me how to use my camera!!!

wow! great news. I think anything Ginger is 'supposed' to help. ginger ale. not sure if that really has ginger in it or not.

Hey Ashia. We want to adopt a baby from China too. We've talked about it since we got married. I have looked into Shaohannahs hope.

I am so excited for you. With the sickness....never let your stomach get empty. Snacking is best. Don't get too full and don't let your belly get empty. Also, ginger tea is really good.

Ok, so I just posted this comment and it literally dissappeared.

I basically said we have looked into Shaohannahs Hope for adopting. We want to adopt a child from China. We've talked about it since we got married.

Congratulations on your little one. With the sickness...don't let your belly get too full or empty. The best is to snack all day long. Salty stuff helps like crackers and stuff. Ginger tea is awesome if you like hot tea...it helps.

Love ya!

Well Like I said before I am so so excited.... Congratulations again. The schedule sounds just like mine... I found out on Feb 8 went to dr feb 26 and was due October 16th... Went 3 weeks early though. Jolly ranchers worked very well with Nausea and I never really threw up... I keep a bad taste in my mouth the 1st couple months and dill pickles worked wonders for that...anything else just ask... What about the dr????

Oh my gosh, I am so excited for you. No one had told me. Not even Michele and I talked to her yesterday and today. Congrats to both of you.

YAY!!! Many, many congrats!! I'm so excited for yall! Seems like everyone I know is pregnant these days! And one thing that has helped me with the morning sickness is sit up in the bed and eat some crackers or cheerios in bed...usually about 10 minutes is good. If I got up to quick and started getting ready for work, it only made it worse! Good luck!
